□ Name: Heero Yuy
□ Journal: preventerday
□ Series: Gundam Wing
□ Canon point: Post Preventers Five
□ History: http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/Heero_Yuy Important note: I do not consider Frozen Teardrop to be canon, so there are discrepancies with the wiki page.
□ Personality: Heero will do whatever it takes to complete his mission - even if that includes sacrificing his own life; an example is when he self-detonated his gundam while still inside it to save the colonies. He is very serious about everything he does because of the training he went through as a child. His training was handled first by Odin Lowe (an assassin who taught him that emotions were worth living by), then by Dr. J (who taught him that emotions only led to heartbreak on the battlefield). His training consisted of piloting, hacking, military tactics, technology, fighting, martial arts, survival and physical immunities. Heero was also schooled in how to fit in at boarding schools, as an example, so he could avoid suspicion.
Heero does not outwardly show much positive emotion in battle or during missions - mostly if he is not scowling or glaring, his laugh and smirk are sardonic and creepy. He shows he cares about a few people by creating reasons that fit his training to protect them, though he uses reason to convince his training it is alright to keep them alive.
Only the few who really try to get to know Heero realize how shy and kind he is. He generally keeps to himself or to the shadows when he has to attend public functions. He does not enjoy crowds, thanks to his training he sees the potential casualties instead of the possible cover a crowd could offer.
Heero is very blunt and to the point. He will not spare someone’s feelings if he feels they are being foolish or he needs to make a point.
Despite (or because) of his role as a soldier, Heero seems to hate killing. At the end of Endless Waltz, he is badly injured to the point he believes that he actually shot Mariemaia, (instead of his gun being empty of bullets) and whispers that he was thankful he doesn’t have to hurt anyone ever again. Also, he occasionally appears to be haunted by past failures, such as when he’d accidentally destroyed an apartment building during his training*, as well as when he’d been tricked by Treize Khushrenada into destroying the airplane full of pacifists attempting to end the war.
*During a particular training mission, after Heero had set the explosives and had escaped the compound, he met a little girl and her dog who lived next to the military base. She asked him if he was lost, and told him she and ‘Mary’ were not, cementing them in his memory. That night, he detonated the base, and the excess use of explosives sent a mobile suit crashing out of the base and into the nearby apartment building. Heero was crushed when he found the body of Mary, the little girl’s puppy. This visible pain and guilt caused Dr J, his trainer, to train him harsh enough to shove emotion to the back of his mind during battle.
□ Age: 16
□ Gender: Male
□ Appearance: He is of Japanese descent, has dark blue eyes and messy short dark brown hair that has the tendency of hanging over his eyes. He tends to wear jeans, casual t-shirt, and jean jacket when not working or working out.
□ Abilities/Powers: Heero has always been trained to kill, therefore his hand to hand skills, strength, speed, stamina, and intelligence are highly developed; almost inhumanly so. He has been known to bend steel bars with his bar hands, set his own broken bones, ignore most injuries if his job isn't done, and survive things that should have killed him (case in point when he self-destructed his mobile suit while still inside it).
□ Personal Items: Work out clothes (dark green tank top and black spandex shorts), every day change of clothes (blue jeans, t-shirt, jean jacket), wallet sized picture of the five pilots
